Eva Longoria: From "Desperate Housewives" to Activist and Entrepreneur



Eva Longoria has transcended her role as a television star to become a respected activist, producer, director, and entrepreneur. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. While pursuing her degree, Longoria won the title of Miss Corpus Christi, USA in 1998, which eventually led her to the entertainment industry.

Longoria's acting career began with guest roles on several television shows. Her big break came in 2004 when she was cast as Gabrielle Solis on Desperate Housewives. The show was a massive success, running for eight seasons and earning Longoria critical acclaim and numerous awards. Longoria has also ventured into the business world. She has launched her clothing line, which focuses on creating stylish, affordable designs for women of all shapes and sizes. On a personal level, Longoria completed her Master’s degree in Chicano Studies from California State University, Northridge, writing her thesis on "Success STEMS From Diversity: The Value of Latinas in STEM Careers." Longoria's commitment to education and advocacy for Hispanic communities underscores her dedication to empowering others through knowledge and opportunity.
